(And crafty men too!)
This year is the centenary of the end of WW1 – The Great War. To mark this special anniversary members of the PCC/Norton in Bloom/ Friends of Norton are planning to decorate the exterior of parts of the church, village green, bus shelter with poppies crafted from wool or any kind of fabric.
WE WILL NEED A LOT OF POPPIES
So, if you can knit, sew, crochet or in any way fashion a poppy, please make as many as you can over the next few months. If you know any friends or relatives who like knitting please encourage them to help us.
There are lots of free patterns available on the internet with tutorial videos on youtube.
Please take your finished poppies to:
Bev Swale - 22 The Terrace
Jean Ancliffe - 8 Napley Drive
Sarah Smith - Bellaport Farm
Doreen Brassington - Forge Lane
